What this is

3 setups, explained live.

Three lighting setups from my studio workshop, picked for the stream and explained while they are built. From anywhere, for €39.99.

Every lamp, and why

You see where each light stands, what it does, and what changes when it moves half a metre.
Working with the model

Not just the result: how a model is guided, posed and put at ease.
Your questions, answered live

You ask in the chat while it happens — not under a video three weeks later.

Two different things

	Workshop in the studio · 259 € a day	Live online · €39.99
Setups	6 in one day	3, picked for the stream
Your own camera	Yes, at every setup	No, you watch and learn
Working with the model	You do it, guided by me	You watch me do it
Group	Max. 5 photographers	Up to 50 viewers
Questions	On location, all day	In the chat, answered live
Travel	To the studio near Stuttgart	None, from anywhere

Look in for free first. At the next date you can watch the first 20 minutes for free, from 15:30 (Berlin), without a ticket. The paid stream starts right after.

The stream does not replace the day in the studio — there you shoot yourself, at six setups, with five photographers at most. It is the way to get three of those setups explained live, without the journey.

See the studio workshops

A series, not a one-off. There is a new stream with a different model roughly every month. The next date below is simply the next way in.

Exclusive setups, live from the studio, and you learn from home. Where the lamps stand, why a shadow falls the way it does, and what changes when one light moves half a metre. For much of the session the camera points at the lights and the screen, which is exactly what no photograph ever shows you. At the end you see the finished image, straight out of camera.

Every setup is announced and explained: lamp positions, modifiers, aperture, and the reasoning behind a mood. Questions go through the chat and get answered on air. It is an education stream — teaching, not adult content.

Your access link arrives by email straight after payment. Streams run on live.pr-arts.de. Every stream is hosted in English, with live German subtitles on screen.

Livestream from the studio with Parthenope

Warm available light against hard black-and-white direction — same model, same session. You see both builds one after the other, and what the decision hangs on: aperture, modifier, distance. In December the daylight is effectively gone by mid-afternoon — that is part of the lesson too.

Livestream Nami Vibes

Fashion posing and quiet fine-art nude from the same model, in one session. You see how the light changes when the brief goes from editorial to skin — and why the modifier that flatters a denim look is the wrong one for a black-and-white nude. Nami Vibes is a model from Milan.

From setup to picture

This is how a light gets explained.

In the stream you see every setup from above: where the lamps stand, which modifier is on them — and what ends up in the picture.

Why it looks like this

The soft light comes from the same direction as the hard light, so the shadows open up without a second shadow being cast.

What you actually learn

Lighting setups, built in front of you

Key, fill, rim — but also the boring part nobody films: how far, how high, which modifier, and what the histogram does when you get it wrong.

Moods, and where they come from

Warm available light against hard black-and-white. Same room, same model, two completely different pictures — and the handful of decisions in between.

Directing without pushing

How a pose gets corrected in one sentence, how a frame gets agreed before the shutter, and why a clear brief makes a nude shoot calmer, not stiffer.

The studio, not a set

A working 300 m² studio near Stuttgart, Germany, with the sets and gear that are actually there — including the ones that do not work out.
